The Taco Bell Tradition
Over A Decade of Tradition | 2025 Update
I get asked all the time about how the "Taco Bell Tradition" began:
For anyone who knows me—whether it’s for a few minutes or a lifetime—there's no secret that Taco Bell has always been my favorite restaurant. In fact, it’s been a staple of my life long before the tradition began. The tradition started in 2013 after I won my first-ever feature event at the Inaugural Turkey Bash at Anderson Speedway. To celebrate, my dad and I made the inevitable trip to Taco Bell.
I was still in my firesuit and proudly holding my trophy when we arrived—and of course, we had to snap a photo. I shared that moment on social media with the caption, “Life complete,” because standing there with my trophy at Taco Bell felt like a dream come true.
Fast forward almost 10 years, and that celebration trip to Taco Bell has become a ritual after every feature win (and sometimes banquets... or anything else we can think of to celebrate). It’s a moment I look forward to after each victory, and it’s not just my tradition anymore—some of my competitors even make it a point to stop by Taco Bell for a photo, too, especially if they beat me... (We try not to let that happen too often).
What started as a personal celebration has turned into a unique tradition that resonates with race fans, drivers, and Taco Bell lovers alike (I would presume that covers most everyone, right?). It’s a symbol of hard work, passion, and the love of Taco Bell—something that I believe could make for an amazing partnership.
I'd love the opportunity to bring this tradition to life in a bigger way with Taco Bell, celebrating not only my wins but also the spirit of Taco Bell as a place where victory and flavor collide. We're destined to make it happen some day!
